I was doing some research and I’ve found a single thread from 2 years ago in which your APIM model is named → 2019 Navigator Sync 3 update BLACK SCREEN! .
Based on the naming convention, I was about to add a mask so that Syn3updater would detect it as MY20, but I got an error… Guess which error: the value was not unique…
So the mask I was about to add to prevent this was already in place, and Syn3updater detects that very same model as MY20 because of such mask:
So it seems that somehow you bypassed the MY20 detection…
Since you have reformatted a MY20 unit, your options are limited:
- try reviving it with GitHub - bigunclemax/sync3flash: Ford Sync 3 reformat flash tool (requires knowledge and specialized equipment)
- have someone else recover it
- replace it
