can this work on a 2019 transit with the newer sync unit .? Its the tablet style one that sticks out of dash ?
Also how do you tell what storage capacity the apim is ?

If it is sync 3 and not sync 2.5 then yes. Post up the version shown in settings > general > about sync if you want confirmation
