2020 4.2” screen APIM won’t reformat to 3.4 is there a new method on the 20+ versions? ---

Since you didn’t give details, I assume you are trying to go to 3.4 from 3.0. There’s no way without reformat, and since you have My20, you can’t update it. We have some success cases (and fails) where users connected an older screen to perform the reformat and then connect the MY20 screen again once completed, but it’s not guaranteed. ---

**DO NOT REFORMAT A MY 2020 APIM!** You can run the APIM Interrogator Utility in the Syn3 Updater troubleshooting tab to find out for sure what model the APIM is, but most likely a MY2020. There is no benefit to upgrading with a 4.2" screen. Also, with a 2020 F-150, even with a 4.2" screen you are most likely on Sync 3.4 already, since Sync 3.0 was discontinued. The Interrogator tool will show for sure. ---
