Is there a chance that anything like self-park, ambient lighting, seat massage, etc… is no longer exposed or supported in future/unsupported versions?
I’d love to update but would hate to lose anything.

What build are you on now?
You can go to the highest Ford supported build on your vehicle, other that 3.4 being prettier there’s not too terribly much different on the back end.
3 0.23219 & 3.4.23188 were released within a month of each other.
If you have a non-NAV APIM the highest version of 3.4.x that might be stable for you is 3.4.21265

I have 3.0 19205 and I do have NAV NA 1 15
You have a Sync3 native vehicle, you should be fine.
The bigger issue would be that older G/H series APIMs have a higher risk of having issues being reformatted than J/K.
You could just update to 3.0 v2.2.17011 to get carplay working and then update to 3.0 v23219 which is the last released 3.0 version, it was released a month after 3.4.23118
