Sounds like your ACM has an issue

Have you master reset?

Yes I did a master reset. been reading it says disconnecting the battery will help?

How can this be fixed?
should I redo the install? different stable version

Please help what can be done I have no audio everything works I have my truck in the shop they change the amplifier also and still same issue?

The unit is factory never had an issue? wanted to have 3.4 now no audio. what can you recommend a reset ? take it to the dealer - will they fix it?
something can be done with fordscan?

It’s most likely a hardware issue with your ACM or you are not telling the full story and messed with your asbuilt

what do you mean I upgraded to 3.4 form 3.0 it worked for few hours then it will go in and out (audio) I decided to downgrade as i read that is the issue now I am at 3.3 but the issue still there. I took my truck to a radio shop the diagnose my radio and said the amplifier was wrong, the amplifier was change but issue still remains. Nothing has been change or done just the upgrade If i understand you are saying the ACM unit is broken? do I need to take it to the dealer and get a new one?

Upgrading to 3.4 will not cause the issue you are having therefore something else has gone wrong. Check your car for DTCs (this is what any reputable garage should do also)

OK i will tell them I did this at SPEEDWORLD 7720 SOUND & SECURITY in NY they said it was the amplifier I have the receipt sorry i dont know about this I am just reading and people keep saying forscan

Sounds like you are just not listening to anything we are saying therefore I am leaving this conversation.

It would help if you could tell us what model trim level and the audio system in the vehicle. It’s a 2016 Expedition, so does it have the Sony audio system or something else?

Do you have FORScan or UCDS and an OBD adapter?
If so, post the asbuilts for these modules.
Have any changes been made to the asbuilt data for the ACM or APIM?
Have you checked for DTC’s?

The Sync upgrade itself would not cause this issue. You stated that once you upgraded that this all worked for a while and then there was issues that arose. This would rule out the issue being caused by the Sync software. This is likely a hardware of software issue with the ACM itself. If the volume is ‘stuck’ at ‘0’, then it is obvious there is an issue with communication to the ACM from the APIM.

I find it odd that you went to a stereo shop and they replaced an OEM amplifier? This makes me think you have an aftermarket amp setup and not OEM.

Hello thanks for the reply. When back to the shop where they purchase the OEM sony amplifier but now they telling me a different issue with a water leak. I know the amp was fine. I also when to the dealer appointment for the car January 23, 2023 this is crazy .
Radio works no power issues, running 3.4 I guess no issue with the upgrade but to be honest issue happen right after I upgraded may be a coincidence. Radio had no issues on 3.0. When upgrading i follow all the steps, took an image of my current sync/build and enter the information (with gps new maps- all works) .
at first all features work Radio, Bluetooth, car play , audio (no issues). I also did the master reset as advise, everything work. Then park the car maybe two hours then done the volume got stuck at 0, and the volume nob don’t do anything, also the sound setting are wrong "stuck to the right-even when reset nothing happens).
As explain when to aftermarket radio shop they ran the car with the reader and explain amplifier not working, ok they said they can get one for 250(factory OEM) they did and change it, ran diagnostics agaion now the amp is working according to them but the same symptoms in the car volume stuck at 0 and sound balance all to the right, them again now they open the car again I am being told the story there was a water leak maybe the hardness is bad… wow.

1 year ago, car did die two day ago had to give it a jump no issue since them?

Have you charged the battery or had it tested. A 1 year old battery should not have died. Also, jumping the vehicle can cause issues if you connected to another vehicle improperly. Always use smart jump packs on the newer vehicles.

A lot of people saying the ACM need to be program to asbuilt data is this true are the SYNC update generic and we need to configure to the specific a car. if so please can you help what equipment will i need or what setting need to be enter for a ford expedition 2016.
