The car was imported from the USA to Ukraine.
Localization was installed.
Yesterday, I decided to update the firmware. I prepared the update via Synk 3 updater.

I inserted the flash drive, and the system displayed “automatic update.”
At that moment, I accidentally knocked the flash drive, and it fell out
I turned off the car, turned it back on, the screen went black, I inserted the flash drive again, and after about a minute, the system said “Russian language installed.” That was the end of it.
What I tried to do:

Soft reset with buttons
Disconnecting the negative battery terminal
Removing the F17 fuse
Inserting a flash drive with the original firmware (USA/Canada)

What are the options for reviving the system? If there are any…

A small clarification:

I made a flash drive with the official firmware (USA/Canada), only APPS, and inserted it. There were no external signs, but after an hour I noticed that it started displaying “tire pressure” readings, which it had not done before.

This is an issue. You reformatted a MY20+ APIM with the Ford reformat tool. APIM is likely bricked.

However, you could possibly recover the unit by using the FMods universal reformatter. No guarantees. Visit the FMods website, there is instructions on jailbreaking the APIM and reformatting the APIM. Sometimes it works…

I figured out a couple more things:

1. APIM is giving me error B108E:4A-48

2. The USB hub turns on the backlight, then turns it off, but neither port is giving any signal or charging.
Is this an APIM block?

Your options are limited:

have someone else recover it
replace it

I have noticed some minor changes.

After working with Forscan in the APIM area

1. Now the USB port backlight stays on for about 30 seconds instead of 5-10 seconds.

2. When turning the car on/off (only “Start”), you can hear the sounds of relays firing in the center panel.

3. The APIM unit fully interacts with Forscan USB (HS/MS-CAN).

Maybe it’s not so bad after all, and it can be brought back to life instead of buying a new APIM unit?

What version is that? Not listed by Ford…
There is a 5U5T-14G381-FS, but that is a 4" screen version, 3.4.21098.
