Corrupted XML after updating to 3.4 22251 via Ford website (BE)

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
No error but when i wanted to upload the XML file to Ford it seemed to be corrupt.
Next i tried to update to 3.423088 via cyanlabs and than there was also an error about the XML file.
Updated only the maps to F12.
But stiil have the problem about the XML file.

Does the XML file matter? it’s probably invalid and not much can be done to fix it.

Hello, I can confirm, there is nothing to do in that case, just lose a lot of time with Ford who will probably tell you to go to your dealer…and even to go in another dealer if you answered that you already went to him. :unamused:

So you were able to update maps successfully with Cyanlabs and everything is working fine except the XML file?
I wouldn’t be concerned with advising Ford of updates.

Maps can i update but not the SYNC3 software because off +2020 hardware and the XML file is also necessary to update from Cyanlabs.

I think the latest version 3.4.23088 is now available through the Ford update system so you should be able to update it by USB.
Many say the version 22251 you currently have has some bugs in it.

Why can’t it be possible to upgrade SYNC3 with syn3 with MY2020 hardware ?

Because i can’t upload the XML file Ford will not give me the next update.

You can use Cyanlabs for just the update without having to reformat. Just because Ford knows what version you are on does not mean they will make the next update available for you.
