F11 Maps not loading "Navigation Malfunction"

Hi

Driving along teh screen went blank on Sync, came back on, maps wont load with the following on screen error

“Navigation Malfunction, Navigation not functioning properly, please visit your dealer for a service”

2019 factory Sync 3. 3 months ago I did Cyan Lab update to 3.4, VBuild 222000, F11 Maps - was all working well until yesterday
Mast reset to no effect

Before I do a rebuild from here, any ideas?

Not really, that sounds like a dying APIM.
Try reformatting it once again with the latest build, no guarantees of course since it’s exhibiting a strange behavior.

This could be a conflict with the OTA update function. Reformat the APIM as suggested above and then turn off the automatic updates in Sync.

Possibly but the automatic updates have been switched off since the update I did as per advice on here

I used to own a 2013 Ford Fiesta, the Sync or whatever it was had a bad habit of freezing when playing music

So I resorted to what I used to do wit that unit

Pulled out the two fuses from box inside to toatlly cut power to Sync
Wait a few minutes
Fuses back in and Master reset

Seems to have cured it, working fine now
