Hi,

i want to update my navi to latest F12 navi card. Sync was 3.4.23188. I update with original Ford updater from 3.4.22200 to 3.4.23188.
But with original Ford updater i got no navi card update to F12 so iam still on F11 and automatic update say: no updates avaible.
I use latest Cyanlabs and make an USB stick for interrogator log file.
But when i read this file with Sync3 Updater 2.12.5.0, i got some information and one of this is: APIM unkown.
When i upload this to your server , it says : file invalid.

So what can i do, to get F12 card update? I don’t dare to do the map update via cyanlabs because the APIM is not recognised.

Hello.

There’s no need to know what APIM you have, it’s a MY20 model, it does not matter which one. If you are interested in knowing the exact model, you can look into the bezel diagnostics menus.

Keep MY20 active at all times, do not reformat it.

You don’t, there’s no more card anymore, it’s just files.
If you REALLY want to update maps, you either buy them from Ford or you can jailbreak the unit and install them …

Many thanks for the quick reply! But how do I get F12 when the automatic updater tells me: no updates available although I still have F11?

I’ve already told you how:

  • if you want official updates you may want to get in touch with Ford and ask them if you are elegible or if you can buy the upgrade from them.

  • if you do not want to go the Ford’s way, look into jailbreaking the unit. We do not support jailbreaking, but you can always visit FMODS’ site (the owner of the solution)

  • if with MY20 protection active Syn3Updater does not give you the map version you want, it’s because they are ESN locked and can’t be installed via autoinstall. Since your unit is MY20 you can’t reformat it with Syn3Updater, hence the previous 2 options.
