Not a clue currently, i think coincidence as i flashed many times before with no issue, ~200-300 GBP for a second hand replacement APIM but i have no idea if it's software or hardware, the thing is me and you are the only people with this issue and based on download stats and traffic WAY WAY WAY more people have upgraded and not reported this issue so i honestly believe it's not related to this guide but rather coincidence, compass (with nav disabled) also doesn't work so further confirming my suspicion.
i wish i could use Mega but for 50GB it's not enough, EU maps are 24GB, NA 13GB, ROW 7GB, CN 12GB and ANZ 8GB so thats already over 50 not including non nav packages.
20021 has 1 bug that i know of, it's way too much effort to maintain packages with different versions so i'm sticking with the 20021 and downgrade packages are provided
Sounds more like you have a virus, it's much more common for a client to inject malicious content in to a webpage than the server. no porn ads are showing here, the only ads that are used are google adsense.
Fixed the format tool, the social like/follow is intentional for now until I can sort better file hosting.
