Ford update software not compatable

Upgraded from sync 3.0 to sync 3.4 using cyanlabs download 18 months ago. Tried to update to latest version of sync 3.4 using download from Ford website after connecting USB drive get message software not compatable with the hardware of Sync 3 any ideas please

It would be rare for Ford to push 3.4 your way since your jump from 3.0 was with CyanLabs.

Also, why do you say it’s 3.4? Which version?.

Post the following:

  • autoinstall.lst file
  • an image of the contents of SyncMyRide folder

Anyways, you can use Syn3Updater again to perform an upgrade.

This isn’t 3.4 and therefore is not compatible

I am sure you downloaded Sync 3.0.xxxxx, not Sync 3.4, as Ford does not know your vehicle is on 3.4.

Not surprised it will not work considering your APIM model would not be supported by the later versions officially. This is what makes Cyanlabs so great!
