I have a tcu I’d like to retrofit into my fusion energi to gain the app back. It is part number ls7t-14g229-am from a 2020 se fusion at a junkyard. I was hoping to see if anyone knew if it was ever updated to support the go times for the energi in the firmware. If it hasn’t I have a h series from my last retrofit I can use but would prefer the newer unit.
That’s not going to work in a Fusion Energi.
You need to get an H series for the Energi (you can thank Ford for this and it doesn’t have to be from a Fusion), follow F150Chief’s guide for getting it activated for your VIN and look for Bill’s AB that came from his dealer performed update (when Ford had the CSP going), you would load that into the TCU after you get it activated (the AB is not VIN specific, but the config is Energi specific).
You’ll also need to get the correct PIFA antenna (Ford HS7T-19K351-AA is used in multiple modules).
The current TCU is located under the rear package shelf cover.
