GPS antenna for retrofit

Not this unit. MY20+. When I go on trips I use Android Auto. However, after the rwdata cleaner was ran, nothing else was plugged in except for the interrogator USB.

The unit is JB so I can delete that way as well.

Just to rule this out, all of the region codes are set to 5553 for US? Or appropriately if Canada…
Are both of the units JB’d?

If the unit is JB you could reformat with their reformat package, but not Ford’s.

I do not really see how a half full rwdata partition could cause these GPS issues though.

Lets see what others have to say, but the signal is there, it does not seem an antenna issue.

Both units are set the same 5553.

Only the MY20+ is JB.

It likely would not affect the GPS, but the rw/data folder is where most of the temp live data is held and processed. If the folder were full, maybe it could prevent the storage of location data, not sure.

What Sync versions are you running on the units? Have you tried downgrading the units to say 3.4.21265 to see if they will work on that version? No reformat, just an autoinstall script and master reset. This was a similar issue with non-nav units.

Current Sync version is 3.4.23188. No i have not tried downgrading sync yet.

Think downgrading to get it to work then upgrading back would keep it working like carplay issues people have had?

Has anyone checked their units to see if they jave the same issue?

I have not heard of this issue with the current version. However, this may be specific to certain conditions. 3.4.21265 was the most stable version recently, so it might be worth a try to see if it works.
