Installation Failed: Error Code: PKG_ERR03

Hi

I updated Synch 3.0 to the latest version today and it worked fine. There is also a map update which I ran but now I’m getting Installation Failed: Error Code: PKG_ERR03. The car was parked up in the drive and cut out once as I didn’t realise the engine auto shut off after 30 mins. I have done a master reset, using using the screen command and manually. It said updating software when I started it a few hours ago, but now when I plug the USB stick in it says there is an update available but then Installation Failed: Error Code: PKG_ERR03 pops up. I have reformatted the USB drive which has worked fine before to update maps, downloaded the files again from the Ford site and copied them again to the USB stick. The map was showing version F10 in settings, but now it’s F11, so it seems it’s partially installed. Help please.

Provide:

  • the autoinstall.lst file you are using
  • the XML file produced by the interrogator log (redact the VIN from the file’s content and name if you care about it.

Thanks anyway, but I’ve got it working now. I did a master reset again, downloaded and copied the files again and it’s worked. It’s updated maps from F10 to F11, and I know there’s an F12, but it’s not offered it on the Ford website, even after uploading the xml file to confirm the F11 update.
