Is there a fix to turn on "AirPlay video in car"

Currently upgraded Sync 3 v 3.5 on my 2016 Lincoln MKT BL. After iOS 26 was released (i was beta testing it before and just thought it was a bug) I tried to utilize the “new” feature of video to carplay in Park. No Bueno. So I hit up Apple Support and this is what they said:

For vehicles that support the “AirPlay video in the car” feature, you can use Screen Mirroring but you may require a dealer to enable this option as the cars infotainment system must be programmed to receive it.

So with that in mind, is there a Sync update that I can install via USB that will allow this feature?

Much Thanks,
Brian

Did you mean 3.4.23188? This is the last version Ford has released for Sync 3.

Yes, I did. I’m sorry. What I am trying to figure out is there a way to utilize the iOS 26 video playing on the sync 3 system? Thanks.

There is not a function for that in Sync in a production sense, however, FMods has a video player application that may be what you’re looking for. It requires some effort to install and you will need to jailbreak your Sync system. Just FYI, we do not support that here on the site, but FMods has a forum section for it.
