Navigation Error after Sync 3.4 Autoupdate

Did the default instructions of creating the USB drive using Cyanlabs Updater, Autoupdate to Sync 3.4. Everything went as expected based on readings and related Youtube videos. Around 18min to update APIM. After completing update and APIM reboot, was greeted by a Navigation error window, and going back to main screen shows an error on the upper right pane.

Power-cycled the car (Ford Everest), to no avail. The navigation was previously working without issues on former Sync 3.0 firmware.

Inputs, comments and recommendations are welcome. Would reverting back to the lowest possible version 3.2(?) solve the issue? Thanks.

Have you master reset ?

Thanks @SaNdMaN. I thought all the while that the update script would do the master reset (you mean the APIM via OBD/Forscan?). The screen went blank for a long while after flashing, and I assumed it did the reset. I also turned off and left the vehicle, and returned back after 15 mins hoping that it would reset itself, but the error was still there. I did not have my ELM and Forscan handy to force the APIM to reset.

I just came from work after leaving the car early this morning, and lo and behold, the navigation error was nowhere present after turning on the car. It might just need a real reset after all.

I’m not sure about resting over forscan, but the master reset is required as per the last step on the instructions, it clears all kind of little things.

If you haven’t done so, I would do it.

About the time needed by the unit to gain gps lock after an upgrade, it’s quite variable.
