Problem with 4 inch screen after update

Hello, Ford Edge with a 4-inch non-touch screen. I wanted to add a Polish voice-over and generated the files using syn3updater. after uploading, I can only see part of the screen. I found information that I should upload the NU5T-14G381-BB software for a 4-inch screen. After this operation I have a black screen and no reaction. I went back to uploading the file from syn3updater and the screen appeared, but still only partial. I don’t know what software to download to restore operation.

The unit is operational, right? I mean, audio is there and USB ports are working…

You previously had it working fine with a 4 inch screen?. What was the version?.

If so, reinstall the 4 inch variant, and leave the black screen be for a while.

Perform a soft reset as well, or remove the cars battery overnight to force a module reset.

If you only changed Sync3 version, it should eventually come back to life… It’s just confused at the moment…

It worked fine before the update – see attached photo. I re-uploaded the file with the BB extension, disconnected the battery, restarted with the buttons, and restarted with ForScan – no improvement. I found a post with the opposite situation (link) , showing SW: NU5T-14G381-BD. It’s not in the Cyanlabs database; I downloaded it from another source, but upload ends with a “PKG_” error.

Run the Interrogator Utility in the Syn3 Updater and post the xml file here…

The -BD file is the right file for the 4" screen. If you received a PKG error…

PKG_ERR02 – Error is PKG_DWNLD_PKG_NOT_FOUND
PKG_ERR03 – Error is PKG_UNTAR_FAILURE
PKG_ERR04 – Error is PKG_REVOKED (Package has been blacklisted)
PKG_ERR06 – Error is UNKNOWN (Restart usually fixes this)
