I have a 2015 F-150. Early last year I upgraded from Sync 2 to a Sync 3 system. Not sure where it was made, but I got it from Ebay. It shows SW Version 3.4, but shows “Build Video_PRODUCT”. Everything works, a bit laggy at times, but not bad enough to have had concerns. Can I still upgrade to the current SW?

The unit has been modified with a 3rd party software that enables video playback on the screen at any time. If you upgrade the unit, it will break the modification. if you don’t care about that, the fix is to reformat the unit.
The method of the modification is NOT discussed on this site due to legal implications.
The log shows the unit is on 3.4.19200 with the voice and GN files. The log does not show the maps installed, but the storage indicates they are installed and this is a NAV unit. I suggest that you downgrade and reformat the unit, it is safe to do so as it is an H-series APIM, and install the current Sync application 3.4.22251 with associated files and the NA2.21 navigation package.
This will erase the modification and return the unit to normal.

Thank you for your help. I will proceed with reformatting my radio and installing the updated SW and maps. I have never used the video playback on the screen so I won’t be missing anything!
