Reversing camera not working

I live in Australia, and own a 2013 ford focus ST. I have retrofitted a sync 3 system and everything works correctly except for the reversing camera. When I put it in reverse, the screen goes blue then black and a few seconds later I get a message saying camera not working. I have read other forums and a few people there have the same problem and they state I need to replace the dc to dc converter (BV6Z-14B526-A) to make it work. Does anybody know if this is correct and where does this module live. A have read of a few different locations like behind the OBD port ao in the engine bay near the battery. I have also bought a reversing camera for a 2017 car, would this work instead of the oem 2013 one.

I would try the camera initialization first.

In FORScan, go to the troubleshooting menu. There you will find a BCM LIN intitialization or calibration test. Try that.

Thanks for that. Will try, but might take a while as I need to arrange a friend to do it for me as I don’t have Forscan.
