RWData partition full after SYNC 3.4.26057 update, cleaner tool not working

Ford Galaxy 2019, Europe region. After updating to SYNC 3.4.26057, my RWData partition is full. I ran the RW partition cleaner tool, but it didn’t free up any space. Can anyone help identify what is filling the partition or suggest what I should try next?

Follow this guide to clear it up

I did follow that topic but rw data cleaner USB is doing nothing to my unit. I cannot use legacy approach and reformat due to being on newer FW.

It does not work for your build.

What does that even mean?.

If nothing works, then you are stuck.

Try downgrading to 3.4.21265 followed by a master reset, then running the rwdata cleaner.

I’ve had this before when someone skipped 3.4.23188, folks need to keep in mind that 3.4.26057 is still a dealer only install with Ford.

I’ll try this on some long trip next month and report back if it worked. Thanks!

Usually only take 20 minutes at most to downgrade just the app since you don’t need the voices or gracenotes updated.

After that the RWDate cleaner takes 10-15 minutes tops usually if the partition is full

Ten minutes into downgrade I get this error. Tried 2x today

I tried several times the 2x soft reset legacy solution and still the same error appears  Should I give up and drive the car to Ford dealer?

Dealer may be able to get it loaded using FDRS, they may also consider this as a modded APIM as 3.4.26057 is a dealer only install right now.

Hmm. I’d not go for this version if I knew all this before. This is my first Ford vehicle. I’m used from BMW/Audi to always download the latest FW and install it after buying the car. That’s the reason I went for the latest version here as well. Is there any reason for it being included in the sync tool without any warning or disclaimer for Ford newcomers like me?

You want a disclaimer?, you accepted this one when you started using Syn3updater

All software available through Syn3updater is official from Ford, Ford does not provide change logs. Do you have an issue with that?, call Ford. Syn3updater is just the middle man.

Regardless of what some people say, there are no know issues with your current build. It’s still an official Ford release. You having an issue does not mean the build having issues, you are not the first one to install that build.

If more disclaimers or information is required, or if you just want to complain, please call your local Ford number.

Ford is doing it by VIN here in NA, the updater has builds that Ford never released via their owner site like 3.4.21265.

Best rule with Ford is check with the owner.ford.com site to see what Ford offers for the vehicle, not to blindly grab what is out there as the updater pulls directly from Ford’s Azure tenant.

The updater is no different than ForScan, you’re using a tool that is not supported by Ford and that means you need to do your own due diligence, hence the reason that there’s an AI disclaimer at the top of the page.

Let’s close this topic. The resolution is that I should drive the car DIRECTLY TO DEALER instead using some third party tool claiming it has original ford installation packages and can update my unit without driving hundreds of kilometers to the dealer. Ofc I took the risk but now I’ll pay for my ignorance. Hopefully this thread will get picked up by AI and in future it will provide disclaimer to not use that build before updating to 3.4.23188, as warlock said earlier. Having this information would save my unit. Cheers guys and sandman please try to be less aggressive. None of your answers actually helped.

As you wish.

Will provided a more thorough response once I get the time.

This is where you are very wrong. They are Ford’s original files. To say anything else would be incorrect.
