Sync 3.4 Nav Now Not Working

Guys

I have just upgraded my Sync 3 from 3.0 to 3.4

I selected Keep Existing Maps.

My Sync updated to 3.4 but Nav is not working. Have my existing maps been deleted due to a format on the Sync.

Shall i do another install with 3.4 but include the latest maps this time ??

Did you perform a Master Reset?

Yes, did a master reset.
When i look at the Sync version its at 3.4 but no details of maps.

Can you get to the IVSU Configuration display and check the map files?
Or what does it say on the Sync info screen?

If you’ve gone from 3.0 to 3.4, then you have reformatted due to the different file partition, you can’t keep existing maps as you’ve effectively wiped the system. You will need to run the program again and select maps, make sure to change the configuration to the version you have now.

I missed the detail, you upgraded from 3.0.to 3.4…Yes you need to include the maps.

@CyanLabs - maybe something to address in the app, can’t keep existing maps if going from 3.0.to 3.2+…

Thanks. Thats exactly what I thought. Pity it gave the option on ‘keep existing maps’.

Am I okay to re-install the same version of 3.4 but also include the latest F9 maps ??

Ive already downloaded it to USB, and ill do the install tomorrow. Will let you know the outcome.

It shouldn’t be possible to select “keep existing maps” if you correctly put your “current version”

Apologies if this was an error on my part.i
However, I have uploaded again to the car, including F9 maps, and all seems fine.

Glad to hear it, no worries about user error, i was just pointing out to F150 that if configured correctly it’s not possible to do what he was suggesting i fix.

I have the same issue - But I can’t get the maps file to copy to the usb.

Any thoughts?
