Sync 3.4 will not return to radio after a text with carplay

I updated to sync 3.4 over the weekend. When connected to CarPlay, it will not return to the radio after receiving and reading a text. You can unplug the phone or manually switch it back to radio.

Is there a setting for this somewhere? Everything else works great.

I used the Cyanlabs updated, I’m on my work PC and can’t load the file from the USB. I don’t think this is an issue with the updater.

I did the master reset right after installing the update. Should I try it again?

No, not really, if a MR has already been performed there’s no need for a new one.

You will have to wait for other iOS users to comment if this happens to them as well, I’m an Android user still running 3.0, so I cannot comment. I remember some bug from the iOS side with calls I think, but I do not remember your issue being mentioned before.

Can I ask how you performed the master reset? Was it done through the sync menu, by pressing keys on the steering wheel, or by using Forscan? Some people get confused about this part. Also, I have an iOS device and whenever I receive a message, the text screen stays there for about a minute before returning to the home screen. However, the radio continues to play in the background and never cuts off.just an fyi

I did the master reset through the sync menu. This happens after having Siri read the text or even if Siri is told to send a text, so it cuts off the radio when that happens. It’s almost like the iphone is a default setting.
