Sync 3 update ~ bricked - please help

Hi All, Im in AUS.
I’ve removed the SYNC 2 screen / apim / usb and GPS. I’ve been successfully running 3.0 -
I’ve been unable to install the update (using the sync module VIN) and the install wont apply due to the VIN doesn’t match.

I turned to CYAN as I don’t have access to Forscan.

I’ve attempted to install the CYAN 3.4 via manual mode (I have a Mac)
Whilst I followed the manual steps (or so I thought) - I have the main screen asking for the USB STICK - When inserted - the error ‘pkg_err03’ was shown.

I have since accessed my ‘friends laptop’ with windows 7 home in the attempt to unbrick past the ‘insert USB STICK’ screen.

I’ve downloaded the current Sync 3 updater latest version.

I can’t seem to download the full NAV files - it seems to get stuck on…

So I’ve downloaded the 3.4.2016 with the ‘keep my existing maps (ANZ)’ which downloaded successfully -

Yet when I insert the USB - I can’t get it to install.
The Sync unit doesn’t go past the installing stage - 40 mins on - no install movement.

I currently can’t use the stereo due to the ‘insert usb’ screen remaining.

Can some one please assist?

You have the wrong previous configuration set, correct that in the app settings and try again.

Check you have enough disk space, what is the location you are downloading the files to (ensure its not the same as the destination usb drive) and try a different usb

I’ve tried; two different computers, two different USB drives (both 64GB) I can download them fine -
It’s the copying to the drive that’s the issue and that’s where it fails.

Using the “estiting maps” version.

I STILL can’t seem to download the maps version.
Two different PC’s, two different USB’s - all stuck on the same location to transfer to USB :man_shrugging:t2:

Maybe try copying the files manually?

I started with that first.
I was unable to move the file to the USB manually either.

Someone please do me a favour & see if the AUNZ maps copy to USB for you

Here’s a shot:
Go to the properties of the map files, one at a time, and look to see if the file is blocked on your computer. If it is, unblock it. Then click apply. The block will go away.

Then, I can manually move to the USB drive I assume (drag & drop) into the sync my ride folder ??!!

I had tried this manually on two different PC’s & diff USB drives.
So I’ll inspect to see if blocked…

Can some one TL;DR (Too Long Didn’t Read) what the issue is here, sounds like a potential bug in my application?

Don’t know if it’s a bug.
I can’t get the file across to the USB - it stops mid transfer.
