Every time starting the vehicle got the auto updates page popping up.
NOTE: 2016 truck did not come with sync 3. I upgraded the hardware too
Finally got sick of it and went to update the system.
Followed all the steps correctly (or I thought)
Reformat USB to Exfat
Put the autoinstall.lst in usb root
Put the reformat.lst in the usb root
Made SyncMyRide folder
Downloaded newest updates
Drug them individually over to SyncMyRide folder
SYNC Region: NA
Navigation Variant: Nav
Manufacturer Year: Pre MY20
Install Type: Retrofit
Old SYNC Version: 3.0
New SYNC Version: 3.4
Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
LST_ERR05
Can you share the autoinstall.lst and reformat.lst files?
I see a lot of (1) in the file name under SyncMyRide, that’s not good.
Double check autoinstall and reformat lst files point exactly to the correct files, correct the file names under SyncMyRide folder if needed.
I’m not a Mac user, but if the files end with .ext.ext, there are no other extensions hidden regardless of what the “kind” column says?.
That will solve part of the issue, but it still wont work because you are missing the 14G386-CB file referenced by the autoinstall.lst file… it’s not in the SyncMyRide folder, so please review the guide and make sure all files have been properly copied. All files referenced by both .lst files must be correctly placed and named.

Get your facts straight, as per your description your unit may not be running Sync3 3.0. So confirm that.
Manual method does not work for 3.4, so if the unit is running 3.4 you need to downgrade to 3.3.19052 (4U5T-14G381-AN) first. Then proceed with the manual guide.
I do not care to have the maps. Is it possible to do without the maps.
My Unit shows Sync 3, Version 3.4 Build 22251_Product.
Gracenote Version: 1.1.1.2323 (NA-0020)
Yes, but you will have to put everything together manually since the manual guide is not made for that (you would still need to downgrade). Or get a proper computer with Windows and install Syn3updater.
But it’s hard to say since you are not communicating properly.
And to be honest I won’t interrogate you, it’s not my job and I’ve lost interest in this thread.
Anyways, you have all the required information in the messages above.
