i upgraded from sync 1 to sync 3 using and doing so i lost the funtionallity of my revers camera and the equalizer and also the steering wheel controls. I have tried to do different forscan numbers for the reverse camera and nothing works my screen just stays on either applecarplay or normal sync screen. ( the sync 3 screen and apim came out of a 2019 f150). If anyone can help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?
none
This would mean you’ve got a problem in the APIM config.
You can’t use the factory AsBuilt for your vehicle, the easiest would be one from a 2016 F150 with similar options since that is the first year the F150 had Sync3.
First thing you need to realize is that a 2014 F-150 is CGEA 1.2 electrical architecture and a 2015+ is CGEA 1.3. The two are different, but this swap can work but you will need to customize the asbuilt for CGEA 1.2. Your current Sync 1 asbuilt is mostly useless. You will not be able to have some systems work from the Sync 3 screen, such as HVAC. These are different formats and are not compatible between the CGEA versions. Another obstacle is the Sync 1 to 3 conversion. Many of the wiring kits are not 100% correct, so issues there might surface, especially with cameras.
I couldn’t find anything do you have anything else that could help me or push me in the write direction. I mostly just want the equalizer and backup camera to work.
Dude all i cant explain how grateful i am for you like seriously ive been trying to figure this out for over 6 months and what you said did it so thank you.
