Sync Update loop and speed dependent volume controll issue

Hello together,
my Ford Website shows me sync Update. (Kuga 2020 Bang Olufsen sound-system)
Sync-Version is now 3.4.23188, new is 3.4.26057. When i download from Ford website, I get the old 3.4.23188. I think there is a bug. Well now. I downloaded from Cyanlabs the 3.4.26057. When I try to update in the car the update doesn´t finish correctly. There is always the message updating in progress. Sometimes it shows finished, but it always starts by itself from the start again and again. When pull out USB-stick Version 3.4.26057 is shown. I´m not shure, if everythink is correctly then. Normaly this should not happen. After that I tried the RW data cleaner stick. It starts to clean, does some restarts and is ending with black screen. :frowning: When I pull out the Usb stick and turn ignition on and off the system restarting normaly. 3 times system-reset have I done also. When I try to install 3.4.26057 again then there i get again in the update loop. :frowning:
Now for the first time I went back to originaly Ford 3.4.23188 (downloaded from Ford server)

The second problem I have, is that my speed-dependent volume control pulling up and down the audio Volume shortly. When I drive an the function is on, the Volume turns up and down for a kind of a second. When I turn off the function everything is ok. I don´t know if this problem was before or after the update progress. What can I do to fix this problems?

Thank you for your help

Syn3 Updater Log File

I have no log this time

The Ford link for 3.4.26057 still hasn’t been updated so you’ll keep seeing 3.4.23188,

3.4.26057 is apparently dealer only right now so it could be Ford has a bug holding up the general release.

If you’re on 3.4.23188 you only need the APP, not the voices or Gracenotes.

These are 2 different issues. Turn off the speed dependent volume until you get the Sync update figured out.

Ford has an issue on their end about the update, don’t use it. eventually they will fix it…

First of all, don’t pull the stick untilyou see the message that it is safe to do so just before the system reboots. If you leave it in when the system reboots it will try the upgrade again because you don’t have the upgrade rename file on the USB.

Another thing, turn off Automatic Updtes if you are using the CyanLabs updates, as this will cause conflicts with the Ford system if left enabled. This is probably the root of the issues You are seeing.

I tried also to use the cyanlab update. I was waiting really long. About 4 hours but the update always started again by itself.

The finaly message have I seen for second but the system rebooted and the update started again by itself. I downloaded then the stick again with the Update und tried to install in the car… the same problem…

I waited untill the message showed me the the finish message for a second and before the system reboot I pulled quickly out the usb stick.

The system started and showed me the right update number. But normaly this can’t be right and I was not shure if everything is correctly installed.

If I upload the logfile the Ford server says last version and showes the green hook.

This means there is an update loop and I can wait days or weeks. The update will never show the finish message as a still standing picture so that I can pull out the Usb Stick and reboot the system like it should be normaly.

Maybe it a Problem in the new update data?

I checked the System and found the auto Volume isse. I don’t know if the Update has caused it or it was before.

I have installed the old Sync Version from Ford OE (hab this saved on Pc)

Update correctly, message stand’s still and when I synchronise to Ford the website Shows me the new update with old data like before.

But now the auto volume problem is there again.

What can I do to finish the new update correctly (without update loop) and what can I do to bring the auto volume in the right order?

Means this I should remove the other data from the stick before installing it in the car? So that I have only the app data?

Correct and when you create the stick you have the option to uncheck the voice & Gracenotes

Thsnk you for your help. Do I need the Enh_dab?

What can I do with my auto volume problem? I don’t think that this update will fix it.

I have the feeling that the auto volume doesn’t work anyway. For me it’s always the same volume.

Normaly faster → louder

slower → quieter

And the biggest problem is the short loud / quiet dropout when I drive.

Personally I wouldn’t update it.

I’d pull the battery cable for 35 minutes to force a clean cold reboot of all the modules and then I’d scan the car for DTCs

I’ve disconnected the batterie for 1 hour, reseted the system 3 times. Same fault…

No Dtc’s..

Any ForScan mods made to the car?

I have Forscan but I have done no changes in the Ecu’s

He asked about the whole car, Specificlly the APIM.

Everything is original. I haven’t modified anything.
