Sync3 1.0 update

I have a 2016 Ford Fiesta. I’m trying to update Sync 3 to the new version but I can’t. The update stopped on a red screen. I have followed all the steps carefully. Now every time I start the vehicle, it asks me for the USB drive. thanks for your help

Make sure no other device is connected to any other USB port.

If that’s the case, try using a quality branded USB pendrive, the one you are using has been flagged as generic.

Oh, one more thing.
When does the process stop? At what time?.
If it’s not right away, edit reformat.lst and remove the gracenotes line.
If the process fails after some minutes, it could be due to lack of storage, removing gracenotes from the installation may work.
I’ve just noticed you have a non navigation APIM, so try that.

The problem was completely solved thanks to your help. This has generated some doubts and I am going to open a new topic to clarify them. Again, thank you very much.

In order to update sync 3 and with the valuable help of this community, I had to remove the gracenotes line from the .lst file.
The question is: what are the consequences of this? I don’t have nav enabled.

Being simplistic, Gracenotes is just artwork for the media player if the media does not have any.

Once I’m at home, I will merge your threads together.
