After updating to the latest sync3.4 should I set the auto updates on or off on yay car?

It’s a good idea since it wont update as your above anything Ford would offer and it could downgrade you also. Just takes up processor power to have it on.
That depends, what vehicle do you have? Not listed in your profile…
If it is an upgrade from Sync 3.0 to Sync 3.2, 3.4, 3.4, then the subject is moot because Ford thinks you are still on 3.0 and will never upgrade past that. Basically if you have a pre-2019 vehicle, turn it off, it won’t work.
