Sync3 display replication

Hi all,

I think I am a decent practitioner of GoogleFu and attempted to use the search function to no avail. So here is hoping someone smarter than I can help me with the following:
Is there a way to duplicate the display on the radio screen to other screens at the same time? I’ve been drooling over the 12" displays in the 14th gens since they were announced in '21 so I have been thinking through how to expand mine by mirroring the original 8" to a bigger screen with video and touch capabilities. Retrofit kits are expensive and I’ve read mixed reviews about them. My current idea starts with finding a way to duplicate the display, and then finding a screen with the same specs but bigger of course. I’d 3D print a bracket to have it sit on top of the current one. Could it be as easy as finding a “vampire tap” of sorts and running that to a touch-capable display like the ones used for Raspberry Pis?

I have not seen or heard of ‘duplicating’ the screen on Sync 3 or 4, but you can replace the screens with larger Sync screens. FMods might have better info on this…

I’ve been thinking a bit more about this self-imposed dilemma…what about opening up the current screen enclosure and wiring it to another larger screen with the same specs? Does anyone know what these “specs” would be or where to start looking for them? I’ve seen a couple of videos related to screen replacement on Sync3 but I am not sure what the different components are. They typically just show how to break it all down and plug back things properly.
