Unable to upgrade to 3.4.21265

Story starts with XM Radio Travel Link not working with Sync 3.0.19205 after subscribing the day before. Contacted SXM for help, refreshed, refreshed, master reset, no luck. F150Chief posted about TSB 21-1250 so I updated to Sync 3.4.21194. Update went smooth but no Travel Link. Contacted Sirius XM again and no luck. F150Chief recommended Master Reset APIM, send refresh signal, and consider updating to 3.4.21265. I tried to update to 3.4.21265 and received Error Code: PFG_ERR04. I did a couple of refresh downloads and get the same message. So I am stuck, I am stable on 3.4.21194 but no SXM Travel Link and can’t upgrade to recommended version. SXM is clueless, they sent me to the Ford site but I read here that they wont update me past 3.0 ***** so I bailed on that. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

PKG_ERR04 – Error is PKG_REVOKED (Package has been blacklisted)

The attached log shows the reformat from Sync 3.0 to Sync 3.4.21194. There were no issues with this other than SiriusXM TL still does not work.

When you tried to upgrade to 3.4.21265, did you use autoinstall mode or reformat? The error indicates that you might have tried reformat. You would need to use autoinstall with the Sync app and voice files, only these 2 files would need to be changed.

Does your SiriusXM work properly? Or do you get the info channel when you start the vehicle?

I followed F150Chief’s guidance to use the autoinstall mode and it worked and now I am at 3.4.21265!

How do you know which to use? Reformat or Autoinstall? I had been using the Autdetect function before.

My SXM radio is working properly but there is still no Travel Link. Everything in the SXM subscription menu below Radio (traffic, weather, etc) says Not Available. Sent a refresh signal a short while ago and nothing new yet. Any ideas?

Leave the Syn3 Updater in automatic mode. It will choose the appropriate way. Could you run the Interrogator Utility in the Syn3 Updater app (tools menu), or post the asbuilt from FORScan for the APIM, please.

I was unable to reun the Interogator utility, it gave me the Error Code: PKG_ERR04 again. I tried it 3 times with new data on the USB each time.

Sirius Travel Link is enabled in the APIM asbuilt.
In the ACM:
Is the SDARS region set to Canada?
Is the country code set for Canada?
and Sirius Data Services enabled in the ACM for Canada?

Did SiriusXM support set up your account for Canada, not US. There is a difference.

There is your issue. You are in the US trying to receive US version of Travel Link and SiriusXM on a Canadian built vehicle. The radio part is compatible, the Travel Link part is not. You need to make sure that:

SiriusXM has your vehicle identified as being in the US.
You need to change the country codes in the APIM and ACM to 5553 (US).
You need to change the data services and SDARS region to US Data Services.

This will require that you change the asbuilt data in the APIM and ACM. This can be done with FORScan and a quality USB OBD adapter. This information can be found here:
