DISCLAIMER, this is dangerous for those that have an already working APIM. I have a G series and it was fraught with peril, danger and stress! I also knew what i was getting into and i had a hot spare to put in.

What got it back for me was:

SBL: (shouldn't have to change this) GB5T-14G376-AA.VBF
Strat: GB5T-14G374-AF.VBF
Cal: GB5T-14G375-DA.VBF

Make sure that nothing says ignored, you should click the button at the bottom that says Force Program

That's it, nothing else. If your screen comes back, and you still want the firmware upgrade, then try this:
SBL: (shouldn't have to change this) GB5T-14G376-AA.VBF
Strat: 1U5T-14G374-EH.VBF
Cal: 1U5T-14G375-DA.VBF

When it completes, you'll be at the same point you were before, blank screen.
Shut the truck off. Likely your hvac buttons will all stay on. With the truck off, Only flash the following:
SBL (same as above)
ECU Config/Sound Profile (CAN): GB5T-14G379-AA
ECU Config/Illumination Strat (CAN): GB5T-14G379-BA
And that's it. It should come back to the ford logo when it's complete. Turn truck on and it should fully power up.
