I recently purchased a SYNC3 to SYNC4 retrofit package from Infotainment.com where they replaced the APIM, ACM, and 12” screen. One of the items that stopped working was my Active Park Assist. I believe the problem is due to the APIM configuration and I have had no luck in getting the PAM (Parking AID Module) to display anything on the screen. Does anyone have experience in re-enabling Park Assist after upgrading from SYNC3 to SYNC4? Thanks!
Do they not offer support when you purchase something from them? Seems odd they would claim this would work and than they dont help you get it working.
They never claimed that I would maintain this functionality, but they also didn’t offer any assistance in restoring it. I’ve tried to get support regarding a few other issues and have been severely disappointed.

They also say there will be updates in the future but they are totally incorrect on that. There will never be updates since they are VIN specific.

Can you post your Sync 3 and 4 asbuilt?
The issue is likely an APIM asbuilt issue. I’m sure they asked for your VIN to program the Sync 4 APIM…7D0-08-01 xxxx xxx* xx–
If you made changes to the PAM, restore the asbuilt using your OEM file. That’s not the issue.

I went thru the rest of the Sync 4 asbuilt and didn’t find anything wrong, based on your vehicle, 2018 F-150 Lariat 4WD. All of the vehicle specific data was correct, just copied from the Sync 3 asbuilt. As far as I can tell from the asbuilts, everything should work. If you find any issues give me a shout.
Keep in mind that you will never receive Sync 4 app updates or map updates for this system. Ford has these systems VIN associated with the APIM ESN, and your 2018 TCU does not support OTA updates.
You stated that you have a new ACM module also. Did they supply a wire harness for this kit? Your 2018 F-150 would not have the wiring installed to support the newer SiriusXM X40 or newer radios. Interested to know if they supplied a harness and the part numbers of the APIM and ACM.
Unfortunately, enabling APA via Forscan did not bring anything new to the display. I can tell that the PAM is still working though because it still chimes when I push the button for parallel parking assistance and it attempts to guide me via chimes. I just don’t feel comfortable without having something on the display telling me when to do what.
When I received the new ACM, it did come with a new harness. The part number for the new ACM (from Forscan) is KL3T-18D832-FH and the APIM part number is MU5T-14G670-PNN. Thanks for all your help!

Does the 360 view come up with the hard button toggle or reverse?
Yes to all of those.
I did add ACC w/Stop & Go back when I had SYNC3. I wonder if that changes the APA type since I now have some additional sensing equipment (CADS, newer IPMA)??
