2012-2015 Explorer IPC headlamp indicator

Just tagging @bill32399 here since this seems squarely in your territory. :stuck_out_tongue:

More in the saga of upgrades of the 2015 base model Explorer here. Currently has the low tier IPC with the separate analog tach and speedo with the central screen. I have a 2012 dual screen model on my shelf. Couple reasons it isn’t installed in the Explorer yet, one includes not being able to get Forscan to bump the odometer higher to match the vehicle (already reached out to the devs with no luck on beta builds) but also curiously the headlamp indicator is inoperative which I was hoping to ask about. I recall messing with the various AsBuilt options when I first got it but couldn’t sort out anything that made it work properly. The high beam indicator works though as do many of the other lamps. If I understand correctly it is also not a separate physical lamp on this one but part of the left LCD display based on some photos I’ve seen and also not seeing it anywhere in the dedicated lamp spots with a flashlight.

I imagine you may have made the same upgrade path with your PIU mods so maybe this is something you have ran into or can share your own IPC AsBuilt I can try out?

This came back to mind again because I’ve been working on a proof of concept build getting this IPC linked to BeamNG with the ulterior motive of taking the ‘fun’ route of trying to roll up the odometer without having to fight with Forscan or pay someone else to modify it. lol. But I ran into the same issue not having the headlamp indicator show while everything else does.

I had a 13 IPC in and I remember having problem with it. I found that the 14-15 years used different modules/calibrations that worked better for me in my 15.

Let me get you a pic of my IPC AB. Keep in mind I did do the OEM autostart,CCM and Heated/cooled seats so those will be turned on in it. I am still using the key start though but I did convert it to center console shifter.

My odometer is about 20k over what it really is.
