2014 Ford Fusion titanium - Is it possible to install a TCU and get ford pass in this car?

I’m making a lot of changes to my car currently, and since i’m pulling it apart, adding in sync 3 (Which i just completed today) I was wondering if there was a way to install a TCU and a modem into my car, and gain access to ford pass? Currently my car doesn’t have one at all. So i know this is gonna be a project.

You can. You may want to find a Fusion forum for instructions on how to do this.

I’m currently asking in the fordfusion reddit, and ford reddit. But have no answers yet.

I’m currently looking at this tcu, but not sure if it would fit properly.

And i’m trying to figure out where exactly i would plug it in at. Since my cars a 2014, it doesn’t have a TCU right now. So i think i’d probably need to run a new harness? I have no idea where i would wire it into.

Check 2gfusions.net and also read F150Chief’s doc.

There’s a guy on there by the handle of RobToledo that always swung for the fences with his mods so he may have things in his build thread. Since you have a Ti you should be able to tap into the DSP for the HS3 bus, there’s also a guy (TXFRDOwner) on there that sells pre-made harnesses for everything from adding a heated steering wheel to adding a TCU.

Off the get go, look at the F150 forums for the original threads since the F150 is VERY close to the Fusion logic.
Since you don’t indicate that you have a Hybrid or Energi you should pretty much be able to use a JL3T series from an F150, H series if you go that way you won’t get the TPMS and you’d want to use the AB from a 2017 Fusion Platinum (non-hybrid).
I’ve done this on a 2014 SE Hybrid and a couple of 2015 conventional Ti(s), ignore anything you see about the beige antenna connector on the TCU being for a WiFi antenna. If you leave it open or don’t hang a true Ford PIFA antenna off it you’ll get DTCs on the TCU for an open antenna port.

I’ll take a look around to see what i can do. I do not have a hybrid, it’s just a 2014 fusion titanium 2.0L EcoBoost,

As I said you should be able to get really close with almost no mods just using a J series from an F150, (there’s no J series for a Hybrid/PHEV) so a JL3T should work.

If you go with an H series pull the AB from a non-Hybrid 2017/2018 Fusion Platinum.
