2015 Lincoln MKZ upgrade touch controls to 2017 buttons

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn’t find anything on it. I’d like to swap my center climate controls/radio controls with one from a 2017+ MKZ. The touch controls are neat but I’d rather just have buttons/knobs. Has anyone tried doing this?

Pics below of what I want to switch the above to, I realize I might need to do some cutting but I think it would be worth it if it’s all plug in play in the back.

Its just like doing a 2013-2015 Fusion to get rid of the cap touch buttons.
You would drop the 2017 unit in and them load your vehicles factory AsBuilt into the unit.
If you’re taking apart the console/dash for this its a really good time to do a Sync3 upgrade while you have it taken apart.
