I recently upgraded from a 4" sync 1 to 8 inch sync 3 and I’m having random issues. The main one right now being that when I make a phone call or receive one, the radio turns on and I cannot hear anyone. It seems like it’s a common issue, but I’m not sure if it’s a setting that can be fixed in forscan or what. I’m not sure if it matters but the screen and spin came from a Ford fusion
Who did the custom config on the Sync3 system?
So honestly, I didn’t do any custom as built configs yet. I just plugged it in, tried to update it and clear out any issues I had. Now I’m looking more at paying someone to build the correct as built file that I need.
Look online for the same or close vehicle for sale on CarMax, etc., and get the VIN, then get the asbuilt for that vehicle with Sync 3 and load it into your APIM. Probably work right off the bat.
Where would you suggest looking to find that?

Oh, go to AutoTrader and search for like a 2016 F-150 and your trim level and browse to find a truck similar to yours.
Ahhhh I see. Well, I am 90% there then but for the life of me, I cannot get Bluetooth phone call audio To work. Every time I make a phone call the radio turns on and the person cannot hear me nor can I hear them.
