So I have a project car (2006 mustang with 2017 mustang electronics) and am trying to eliminate the intrusion sensor in the BCM. The BCM is currently throwing a DTC for the sensor (sensor is not installed). I have disabled everything relating to the intrusion sensor (security config, perimeter alarm) yet the DTC is still present… Does anyone have an idea on how to disable this sensor?
This is a sensor present or not warning, most likely. You will need to simulate the sensor in the wiring connection or buy one and install it. Disabling the sensor in the BCM just “Mutes” it, it will not eliminate the DTC.
