2018 F150 4" Screen Sync 3 / Bluetooth does not stay paired

2018 F150 4" Screen No NAV. Sync 3 Version: 2.3.20272 trying to upgrade to 2.3.23254 (as per Fords website by my VIN) or newer if possible.

Tried searching everywhere and I am convinced an update may fix my problem. Only problem is I tried that and I am failing.

Issue:
I can pair my work phone and personal phone no problem.
Both phones toggle back and forth and work with no issues until I turn the truck off. I have had no issue with this until now.
Turn the truck off and back on and the phones are no longer paired. They do show in the devices list but I can not connect. I would have to pair them once again.

What I have tried;
-I can try to delete the bluetooth devices paired to my truck. Although, they delete temporarily and reappear after turning the truck off and back on.
-The Sync Fuse disconnect, cycle the power, plug back in fuse (#32). Did not work.
-A master reset. All data remained after the reset. Issue is still ongoing.
-Tried the ford website download with my VIN. USB was formatted, in FAT32 and also tried EXFAT, and MBR. No luck. Tried a different USB. No luck.

Appreciate any assistance! Thank you in advance.

When trying to upgrade to the new Ford version 2.3.23254

USB Initializes then does nothing when plugged into usb port on truck.

Update Method: Official Ford

Hello.

What you are describing suggests that the unit is unhealthy.
Your options are extremely limited.

I’m assuming that your limited “I’ve tried updating and failing” is that the update USB is not being processed. Can you share some information other than “it does not work”?, what happens when you connect it?. Have you tried running an interrogator log against the unit?.

Hello thanks for the quick response,
When i connect the USB it says initializing then it says completed and nothing happens after that. I’ve left it in with the truck running for an hour or so.
I will try the log and report back if i can figure that out!

While you are at it, it would be nice to see each autoinstall.lst that you try… That way I could correlate what’s what…
