ACM, travel link and hd radio with certain ESN

Is there such a beast for a 2014 fusion that can do sat and hd radio with Travel link?? ive been able to do certain combos with ACM ranging from 2013 to 2016 but not get all three of them together.. seems like travel link dislikes hd radio more.. the getting is from siriusxm they either say yes or no that it can be done and that’s the final say in it..

There are plenty and many that can also do Sirius 360L but you will need to add a few wires to do the x40.

I left out that fact that you dont have A2B in a 2014 so there are many newer ones that will not work if they have A2B.

You can’t do X40, but to do what you want to do you need the ACM from a 2013-2016 Fusion Ti.

You drop YOUR vehicles factory AB into the donor ACM and then enable the HD radio button in the APIM, all of this requires you to have the 8” screen.

Part number is going to be xS7T-19C107-CC thru CM the first character will be D, E or F, any of these will work. The last character is the firmware/calibration revision, levels below E had a volume bug, you can update the calibration to M with ForScan once you have the ACM installed.

Actually with the right ACM, APIM and wiring you can.

you mean i just bought a DS7T-19C107-CB ACM and i was off by one freaken letter… grrrr argh…

In addition to the ESN an HD ACM will usually says it has HD on it…..

yeah but not if it supports travel links.. i wanted a totally phone free option so i can switch back and forth from the two.. long drives get google android and short drives get in car experience.

I think Bill missed the ask here, there was no mention of X40, the ask was AM/FM/XM/HD & Travel Link (which an X40 can do)

And I’m going to assume that the OP has a 2014 SE with the tech package (which also means he may still be on MFT and not running 3.4.x on a K or L APIM).

DS7T-19C107-CB is from an early 2013 and the 2013MY was a one off year for the Fusion, 2014MY they started building them “as Mondeo” based on what was in the ETIS site when it was still publicly available.

To use the DS7T-19C107-CB unit you’ll need a ForScan paid license so that you can use 2.4.x to flash the firmware and a good OBD adapter like an OBDLink EX.

And here’s the steps…

  1. drop your factory AB into the donor ACM using ForScan and then do a module reboot. Your volume/station controls controls should now work.

  2. Flash the firmware up to Strategy DS7T-14D100-CF\Calibration DS7T-14D099-CJ, you’ll hear a loud POP out of the speakers when it completes (I thought I had blown the ACM when I did this mod the first time back in 2015). Do another module reboot with ForScan.

  3. Now you need to flash up to the last firmware ForScan offers which will make the unit equivalent to a -CM, this fixes a bug in the HD radio tuner sensitivity, same as before you’ll get the pop. then do a module reboot.

  4. If you are still running MFT go to the APIM, use ForScan to change 7D0-01-01 xxxx xxx2x xx to xxxx xx3x xx. This displays the HD radio toggle button to enable/disable the HD radio iBiquity IC in the ACM. For Sync3 this will be 7D0-01-01 xxxx xxx2 xxxx being changed to xxxx xxx3 xx.

  5. Perform a module reboot on the APIM.

When you go to enable XM, you’ll need to give them the ESN of the donor ACM not your VIN. If you already have service in the car they usually charge $30 to flip it to a different ESN.
