How to determine the appropriate ACM for this?
There’s more to it than the ACM.
Depending on year and model the DACMC is not built into the ACM.
It requires addition of the headliner mics and depending on the car addition of a front or rear speaker, it doesn’t necessarily make the cabin any quieter. In the Hybrid/PHEV its used to hide specific sounds from the eCVT and add some engine noise, in the Focus ST, conventional Mustang and Fusion Sport it was used to add fake engine noise.
The best way to determine the if you have the right ACM for ANC is to first get the VIN for the ACM you want. Then run the AB with Fords AB database to see if it has ANC turned on in the AB settings.
The ANC is mostly for reducing the noise while on phone calls and during SYNC usage. It does not work like headphones do.
I understand that. That’s why the microphones were purchased and they will be added to the ceiling. I thought there was a list of ACMs somewhere that support this feature.
Do you have the VIN for that ACM?
Funny thing with ACMs and the DACMC,
An ACM with a built in DACMC doesn’t show any different in the AB from a ACM with an external DACMC, they even show in ForScan/FDRS/IDS as separate modules when you have an ACM with one built into it.
So the AB for say a 2016 Fusion SE Hybrid (external DACMC) looks pretty much the same as one from a 2018 Fusion SE Hybrid (internal DACMC).
The DACMC settings for both are in 7D5-xxxx-xxxx, not 727-xxxx-xxxx.
The only real giveaway if you don’t know which you have comes when you try to flash the calibration on the ACM, one with a built in DACMC is flashed via the DACMC, one with an external you flash the ACM calibration via the ACM.
I am not looking at the ACM Warlock so stop over complicating this. I asked for the VIN for a reason. You look in the AB to see if it contains the 7D5 lines and if it does then you know the ACM has a DACMC chip.
Not everything in this world revolves around a Fusion either. No one mentioned an external DACMC so why even bring it up? I know what this guy is doing because I have done it. So unless you can help him find an ACM that contains the DACMC chip than stay out it. He is not asking how the birds and the bee’s work.
KT4T-19C107-CE does not have active noise control. Meaning interior sound level feedback.
You need the KT4T-19C107-DE.
Thank you very much, this was the main question. It has been fully answered. So I will change mine to this one.
Keep in mind that unit has an A2B connector on it since the 2020 FusionTi /MKZ HEV/PHEV used the Sony or Revel.
That unit also has an X40 Sirius XM IC in it.
Would have been a lot easier if you had told us the ACM or the model/year of the car.
If you don’t need the X40, you can also use HS7T-19C107-XB & KS7T-19C107-XB
I hope that this is successful. I wonder if it will require also upgrading to more speakers?
I have BANG & OLUFSEN, which is the most complete. 12 speakers. The rear ones have been replaced with good ones. If anyone is interested, I’ll show you.
I didn’t know until a certain point that B&O was just a beautiful inscription. If the front ones are still tolerable, then the back ones are no good.
Each door was equipped with
I didn’t change the other speakers or the subwoofer.
As a person who is not particularly demanding of sound, I immediately felt the difference in the sound of some compositions.
I am satisfied. The money was not spent in vain.
