Adaptive headlights not working

Hey so for whatever reason my headlights are not moving as they are supposed to while driving on my 2017 mkz fully loaded reserve. I know I have the hardware because when I first start the car they do a little “test” and move side to side. I have the luxury package, including the headlights (as seen below) and when I go into my driver settings, lighting, and look for “adaptive headlights” the option is just not there. What do I do?
Thanks!

What mods have you made to the car ?
Both physically and with ForScan?

I have not done any kind of physical or other modifications to it yet.

  1. Have you checked the car for codes?
  2. Does ForScan show a headlamp control module (HCM)?
  3. Does a menu for this show in the owners manual?

The parts list makes it sound like this is a leveling system rather than what we think of as adaptive headlamps now, does your switch look like the one on the Edge/MKX?

Ok, scratch the switch and function questions.
Based on this from the owner’s manual there is only an on/off cluster setting.

“The system only works with the lighting control in the autolamp position. You can switch this feature on or off in the information display.
Note: There is a delay of two to five seconds before the system operates when you drive your vehicle.
Note: The system is only active at speeds above 3 mph (5 km/h).”
