APIM Model Number Question

Purchased a Sync 3 screen to upgrade from MFT. Pics showed it came with an APIM, so ordered it quick. Just arrived here at work, but couldn’t find any info on it in the APIM database. Won’t be able to mess with it till tonight, but wanted to know if I got a Nav or non-nav. Google searched had no info on it.

JL3T-14G370-HJD

Mfg Date: 09/12/2018

Thanks everyone!

JL3T-14G370-HJD is a NON-NAV production. Possibly a replacement unit, so you will want to run the Interrogator Utility before you do anything to make sure it is not MY20+ EMMC.

Just did the Interrogator Utility.

APIM Model: JS7T-14G371-JGA
APIM Type: Non-Navigation

Cross referenced that APIM model in the database and showed its not MY20.

If you ask me, I would treat it as MY20. There’s a single reference to that model on the forums (this thread) and in the HW DB. Other models have been flagged as MY20 with similar part numbers (JS7T-14G371-JH*).

-JGA should be prior to -JH*, but by how much?.

So, unless you check the date on it (there’s a sticker on its back with information), I would treat it as MY20.

Would you recommend this APIM?

HP5T-14G371-ECA

The HJD came attached with the screen and got a 2 for 1 deal basically.

Apologies, I missed that you already posted the date on your opening message. Can you share a photo of that sticker?.

About recommending APIMs, unless you are looking for something really specific, “any” APIM will work. The general recommendation is to get K or J series one that are not MY20 but are not that old.

Thanks.
At least to me, that sticker does not scream “fake”.
So lets see what other have to say, because if it’s OEM it may not be MY20 (as the sticker says).
But wait for confirmation/feedback from F150Chief

Sticker matches all the referances I have so I agree with Sandman that it is legit.

post the xml file here.

The sticker looks OEM. The info in the file will tell us if the EMMC is MY20+ or not.

Sync_VX9A132F_VIN_NUM.xml (10.3 KB)

I purchased online from a wrecked F150, so Im assuming its OEM.

What are you looking for in the XML file that will show whether its my20 or not?

This:
d2p1:DID didFormat=“ASCII” didType=“ECU Core Assembly Number” didValue=“F111” responseLength=“24”>
d2p1:Response>HS7T-14G380-AB</d2p1:Response>
d2p1:IsConfig>false</d2p1:IsConfig>

The unit is NOT MY20+.

This value is the ECU Core Assembly Number. Being an Gxxx or Hxxx value indicates the APIM motherboard ECU is a 2016/2017 version. If it was a 1U5T value then it could be MY20+ based on the suffix values.
