APIM non NAV - NAV (disable nav)

Been asked to look at 2019 EcoSport.
Factory fitted non nav - Don’t have number to hand but likely to be JK2T-14G371-ACB
Ford logo, shows couple times then black screen. No faults in Forscan. Tried to update firmware, all succeeds, still same.
Don’t know the history, failed update or just failed hardware.
Looking to replace hardware, is it possible to swap for NAV unit but use factory AB / reconfigure for no NAV? Just seems easier to get NAV part number unit - JK2T-14G371-FCC

You can pickup a NAV APIM, drop the current Asbuilt into it and then once you’ve verified things are working like they did on the old one change 7D0-01-02 xXxx xxxx xx to a 2 to enable the NAV function.

Would this also need GPS aerial?

All Sync3 units from the factory have a GPS receiver connected to them.

If you’re just swapping a non-NAV for a NAV you already have the required hadrware.
