Hello. I have a Ford Kuga 2018 with Sync 3.4 Now i want to activate the seat heating on the touchscreen. But the button has no function. Now i want to update the APIM. But i cant find new files.
Seat heat on the screen isn’t done there.
It’s a change in the config.
7D0-01-01: xxxx-xxxx-x_xx 1 enables the heated seat button on the screen
If the car has rotary heated seat buttons the change will not work and even with physical buttons it relies on the firmware/calibration in the FCIM supporting this not the APIM.
My Kuga has no rotary seat heating buttons. My Car has physical buttons. But the touchscreen buttons wont work.

On my 2018 Fusion the heated/cooled seat and heated wheel buttons worked without any problem on 3.0.x, when I dropped in 3.4.x I had to update the FCIM.
Was this even working on 3.0.x ?
You need to remember that going from 3.0.x to 3.4.x is a bit like going from Windows 10 to Windows 11, for a device to work it has to have the correct hardware/firmware/driver for Win11.
Thank you for your help. I will try to do the update. But i cant find the right firmware files.
Which means you can’t enable a completely unsupported function without major rework.
