This stuff is buggy, trust me. I had Ford try to fix my system for well over a year because of these issues and I am still pushing the issue to a resolution. I believe that it is a software bug/ hardware issue. The CPU maybe hitting a wall with utilization because it is emulating things. I noticed that USB audio can’t keep the seconds synchronized properly with the display–leads me to believe there is no true clock chip on the board, just software emulation (again) which can cause packet loss and “stuttering/skipping”.
Older software likely didn’t have a few new features that have now caused this cantankerous issue.
My android phone over blutooth drops signal time to time. USB audio is also symptomatic in the same way. Shame they don’t have a simple audio jack in to just bypass all this software mess they have built.
