AUtomatic light retrofit - deactivate alarm

Hi guys,

I always wanted automatic light for my focus mk3.

I just found an increbible gadget on Aliexpress: it is a light selector with automatic light and ambient light sensor. It perfectly fit light selector of my Focus. If AUTO is selected, the light sensor detects if turn on low beam lights or keep day lights. No change on Forscan required!

PROBLEM: When car is turned off at night, with light selector on AUTO, the car believes I forgot the light selector on ‘low beam ON’, and when I open the door a chimes starts, to remind me to turn off the lights, despite they are off.

I ever understood the need for such alarm, and I want to deactivate it via Forscan. Do you know where I can find such settings in the as built?

anyone?

It appears that the light unit you installed does not provide feedback to the BCM or lighting module about the state of the lights. Therefore, if you need to have the lighting control always on for the automatic lights to work the vehicle naturally thinks you left them on and will alert you. There is nothing wrong with the vehicle.

I think I found the olution: in central configuration, I changed the parameter about light type, inserting ‘AUTOMATIC lights‘. Now the chime disappeared
