Carplay not working. Upgraded to from v1 to 3.4

I updated my unit from Sync 1 to 3.4 using the Ford website. I purchased a new USB hub that’s supposed to be compatible, but I’ve read on several threads that I was supposed to upgrade to v2 first. I’ve tried to use the downgrade usb feature but get a INST_ERR11 code. Are there any options?

Do you have a error message, if so what is it?

Update Method: Official Ford

Sorry, but a lot of your post does not make sense.
Firstly regarding your opening comment regarding upgrading to version 3.4 through the Ford site… you cannot upgrade to version 3.4 for your 2016 model through the Ford site, only to the latest version 3.0.23219.

Later you state that your previous configuration is 3.3.23219, you probably mean 3.0.23219 as you state that later down.
And then you state that your current version is 3.0.23219.

So what is your current version please 3.4. (something) or 3.0.23219 and if the latter is the case what are you trying to downgrade to?

You’re right. My current version is 3.0.23219. Sorry about that. I think I’m trying to go down to V2. I’m not sure the exact version my 2016 F150 came with, but I upgraded directly to the current 3.0.23219 and I’m still getting a “USB hub not supported” pop-up. I’ve read that people have issues if they don’t go to V2 first. I just tried the downgrade USB again with 3.0.23219 corrected under configuration. I’m getting a INST_ERR11 when I try to do that. Any guidance is greatly apprectiated.

You may already know, you have Carplay now with the newer version and it requires a newer USB port. Than the error will go away.

Yep. I got it figured out. The hub I bought needed 3.4. After I ran that update it worked. Thanks!
