Cut down map gernerator Master Reset after?

Hi
I installed sync 3.4 23188 a while ago with the 2.22 map version. I would like to upgrade to map version 2.23 using the cut down map package generator using the syn3 updater.
My question is, do I have to do a master reset after install?

You should master reset after every update.
