Hi all,
New member here and have just downloaded Syn3 Updater to update to Sync3 version. However, both Chrome and Firefox block the download file.
I manually allowed it anyway and scanned it on VirusTotal assuming false positive but it did get detected in 2 uncommon virus scanners. Assuming all is good of course, I just wanted to inform to see if its just me.

Not much i can do about that, the installer is a standard NSIS installer, if thats being flagged then many other things are also flagged.
The problem is that the updater on some lists is considered a “hacking tool” just like the Ford IDS license hack.
Some of the AV/Malware will block it due to “reputation”
It’s a false flag. Whitelist the site and/or the download.
I’m not convinced that is why since it’s the installer that is flagged not the actual application. it seems to be a heuristics check matching something that NSIS uses.
