F150 - Does APIM Upgrade Impact BCM LIN?

Hoping some of the smart people here can help with a question.

My 2015 F150 is unable to complete LIN New Module Calibration or Rear Camera Calibration in the BCM. They both get to 8%, ask to cycle the ignition, then I get “Test Aborted. Perform a self-test to identify any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)”. The BCM passes self-test with no codes.

Question: Does a retrofitted SYNC 3 APIM have anything to do with this issue?

More details… this all started when I bough a Ford OEM backup camera to replace my original. The replacement has a great picture but no backup guidance lines (the ones that move with the steering wheel). A LIN new module calibration may fix this issue but will not complete. So I took the new camera out, installed the original, and it still can’t complete. Pulled the battery overnight and no change. So now I am wondering if the APIM could have a role. In terms of mods, I have done minor Forscan programming, upgraded the APIM to SYNC 3, and installed OEM adaptive cruise control.

Is there any way I find more details on what is causing the BCM to fail calibration?

This thread looks similar but never got to the bottom of what is causing the BCM calibrations to fail at 8%: No RVC, 360 Camera, or heated/cooled seats after upgrade from sync 2 to 3 - #47 by F150Chief

What Forscan version are you using?

Do you have the 360 View option? Trim levels have this option and need to have the IPMB LIN cal performed. If your asbuilt is wrong for this it could cause this issue.

A retrofit from Sync 2 to 3 alone would not cause this directly unless the asbuilt is wrong. Does a camera self test complete?

2.3.71 with the OBD Link Ex.

No 360 view, just the single rear camera. I do not see an option to self test the camera but it works great, including guided backup lines.
